Legion Sports Bar Is A Winner

 Last Saturday night (November 18th, 2023) we met up with some friends at the new Legion.  It is a new restaurant in Downtown Bellevue owned by former Seahawks Richard  Sherman and Kam Chancellor, along with another partner..  They were principal members of the Seahawks legendary Legion Of Boom, a defense that helped take the 'Hawks to two Super Bowls. 

We were able to get a table right away (the restaurant does not take reservations).  The room was filled with TV screens, all but one tuned to the Oregon State-Washington game, of course. 

We were happy with our food.  I had the jerk chicken dish.  The restaurant is loud, but fun (or, you could say, loud and fun), and the prices are reasonable.  I would be happy to return. 

Seahawk Safety Kam Chancellor Ends Career

The risk of paralysis after a season ending neck injury was has caused Kam Chancellor to retire.  Chancellor, a 4 time Pro Bowler, has been with the Seahawks since 2010 when he was drafted out of Virginia Tech.

Chancellor was a key player in the Seahawk defensive backfield known as the "Legion Of Boom" that help bring the Seahawks it's first Super Bowl championship in 2014.

Chancellor Out For Season--Career In Jeopardy

Seattle strong safety Kam Chancellor is out for 2017 according to Coach Pete Carroll.  A neck injury is blamed for sidelining Chancellor for this season and many are questioning whether he will return. 
As the Seahawks plan one of the most difficult parts of the season, the defense will play without Cliff Avril, Richard Sherman, and Chancellor. 
The Seahawks face the Philadelphia Eagles, a team with 10 wins and only 1 loss this Sunday.

Chancellor Rejoins The Seahawks

Was missing Safety Kam Chancellor a factor in the Seahawks losing the first games of the season?  Last Wednesday, Chancellor decided to rejoin the team after holding out since the beginning of training camp.
  A scathing column by Seattle Times writer Matt Calkins, published the morning Chancellor announced his return, may or may not have been a factor. It just seemed a little too coincidental to me.  You can read that column by clicking here
