Legion Sports Bar Is A Winner

Last Saturday night (November 18th, 2023) we met up with some friends at the new Legion.  It is a new restaurant in Downtown Bellevue owned by former Seahawks Richard  Sherman and Kam Chancellor, along with another partner..  They were principal members of the Seahawks legendary Legion Of Boom, a defense that helped take the 'Hawks to two Super Bowls.

We were able to get a table right away (the restaurant does not take reservations).  The room was filled with TV screens, all but one tuned to the Oregon State-Washington game, of course.

We were happy with our food.  I had the jerk chicken dish.  The restaurant is loud, but fun (or, you could say, loud and fun), and the prices are reasonable.  I would be happy to return.

Sherman Will Play For Arch Rival 49ers

Seahawk fans haven't seen the last of Richard Sherman.  The all pro cornerback, who squashed the Super Bowl hopes of the 49ers with his tip of a pass to Michael Crabtree is now playing for that team.  Sherman signed a three year pact with San Francisco over weekend, which means he will play against the Seahawks twice each season.

Seahawks Win Game But Lose Sherman For Season

Thursday night football games have not been a popular event for players and this really came to light this week when Seahawk star cornerback Richard Sherman suffered an Achilles Tendon rupture ending his season.  The Seahawks won the game against the Arizona Cardinals, but there was almost no celebration as the team's greatest strength, it's defense, may be ordinary at best.
Sherman has not missed a game since he entered the league in 2011 so there is little indication on how the team will play going forward.

Sherman And Baldwin Protest

Seahawks Richard Sherman and Doug Baldwin got national sports headlines protesting the fine levied on teammate Marshawn  Lynch for not talking to the media.  Sherman appeared to be interviewing a cardboard cut-out of wide receiver Doug Baldwin.  At the end of the interview, Baldwin appeared from behind the cardboard cut-out.  The Seahawks take on the 49ers on Thanksgiving.

Seahawk Star Sherman Moving To Maple Valley

Maple Valley is in the news as the new home of Seahawk cornerback Richard Sherman. Reports are that the standout cornerback has purchased the home of NBA star Jamal Crawford for 2.31 million.  Although the area, is rustic, with spectacular views of Mt. Rainier, it has seldom been in the news for celebrity home purchases.  The house features such amenities as a deck for every bedroom and an indoor swimming pool.

Sherman Signs Extention With The Seahawks

Seahawk fans can rest easy now that Richard Sherman has signed a 4  year 57 million dollar contract extention with the team.  The 3rd year cornerback lead the NFL with 8 interceptions and his tip of an end zone pass to Michael Crabtree that resulted in teammate Malcom Smith intercepting, allowed the 'Hawks to go to the Super Bowl.   Sherman was a prominent mention in President Obama's speech last weekend at the White House Correspondence Dinner.

Seahawk Sherman Will Not Be Suspended

The NFL has ruled that Seahawk star corner back Richard Sherman will not be suspended for using performance enhancing drugs.  The ruling was based on the finding that proper testing procedures had not been followed.  Teammate and fellow corner back Brandon Browner did not wait for his appeal and as such, is serving a 4 game suspension.  Browner's suspension will end as the post season begins.
