I couldn't find Ol' Crimson, in edition to Ol" Crimson, this was held up in front of the camera.

Great post Mike. On October 4, 2003, WSU alumnus Tom Pounds drove to Austin, Texas, for the Kansas State vs. Texas game. Standing among thousands of opposing fans on national television, he unfurled a handmade flag with the right-facing Cougar head logo to demand that ESPN bring its marquee pregame show to Pullman. This single act sparked the historic, decades-long streak. After 15 years and 224 consecutive road appearances across 34 states, the flag finally "came home" on October 20, 2018. ESPN broadcasted College GameDay live from WSU's campus ahead of a showdown with Oregon. The national broadcast opened with an emotional tribute to the tradition, showcasing a sea of Cougar logos and cementing it as one of the most electric atmospheres in the show's history. During the Week 1 broadcast of the 2026 season, ESPN celebrated its milestone 500th road episode.
