Gloria Steinem one of the most iconic leaders in of the women's rights movement, beginning primarily in the 1960s, has died. She was 92.
Steinem, as one of the first of high profile rights leaders, really figuratively, pushed the boulder uphill for changes we now take for granted. She was one of the founders of Ms magazine.
Steinem was borin in Toledo, Ohio.

Great post Mike. She helped create the first major national magazine focused on women from a feminist perspective. She spent many decades traveling, organizing, and fighting for human rights and equality. She always made time to listen to everyday people and learn from their unique lives. She believed that positive social change is always possible when people work together. She stayed calm, focused, and kind even when facing harsh critics.
