The Underhills At Madame Lou's

This came up on Facebook memories.  The Underhills, one year ago, playing at Madame Lou's in Downtown Seattle.      

 

The Underhills My Old School

Deb and I along with family and friends, went to Madame Lou's in the basement of the Crocodile. last night (Saturday, June 10th, 2023) to watch The Underhills, which features my cousin Joe Barer, on the guitar (foreground).

We had seen the band last August in Mercer Island.   The band, which includes members of various ages, is Seattle based and does cover tunes from the late 70s, into the early 90s. 

The venue had the atmosphere of an early rock club, with a standing room, loud music and real warm temperatures. Even though it was a cool rainy June day in the area, everyone in the building was pretty much sweating up a storm.  The band was guzzling water and continually toweling off.

Well, if you have read this blog for any amount of time, you know how I love summer outdoor concerts.

Last night (August 27th, 2022), we went to Mercer Island for the Boyd Building Street Fair.  

The Underhills, which featured my cousin, Joe on guitar (right), played for several hours.

Rock The Casbah--The Underhills at the Croc July 5th 2024

We went to the Crocodile in Downtown Seattle last night (July 5th, 2024) to watch The Underhills, which features my cousin Joe Barer, in a"battle of the bands" with Night Wave, another popular area cover band. 

Joe sings lead on this classic by the Clash. 

Who won the battle? I would say it was the audience.
