The icons of my youth are disappearing. Peter Max, whose loud and brightly colored art was emblematic of the counterculture has died. He was 88.

Great nostalgic post Mike. Peter Max was a visionary master of color who defined the optimistic spirit of a generation. He painted the world through 'rainbow eyes'. He didn't just capture the spirit of an era—he helped shape it. He was a champion of peace and mindfulness. His work was a relentless force for optimism.
