A Day At The Woodland Park Zoo 2--Toucan

I've never seen a Toucan in real life.  The bird has a unique look and character.

The display is in the Rain Forest Exhibit at the zoo.

Great post Mike. The Tropical Rain Forest exhibit completely transports you out of the Pacific Northwest and into a lush, equatorial jungle. The mist, towering trees, and sounds of tropical birds make the entire experience feel alive and magical. The natural, spacious enclosures reflect how deeply the Woodland Park Zoo values animal welfare. It is wonderful to see creatures like jaguars, lemurs, and bright poison dart frogs thriving in settings that mirror their wild homes. The zoo goes beyond just displaying animals; it teaches us how our daily choices protect global ecosystems. Walking through the exhibit inspires a deeper respect for the planet's most biodiverse environments. Wandering the winding, tree-lined paths of the zoo feels less like a typical tourist attraction and more like stepping into a peaceful, green sanctuary.
