Great post Mike about this great behind the scenes genius for recognizing musical talent. He is globally celebrated for an unmatched instinct to hear a timeless hit and identify generation-defining potential before anyone else. Unlike an industry obsessed with instant viral metrics, Clive fiercely believed in patient, genuine artist development to build lifelong careers. Legendary musicians constantly praised Clive for believing in them when they were young nobodies, sticking by them through every chapter of their careers. His adaptability was staggering, he was just as impactful launching rock icons in the 60s and 70s as he was mentoring hip-hop moguls in the 90s and pop stars in the 2000s. Bruce Springsteen noted about him. "At 22 years old, he changed my life when he signed me... He treated me with the same respect and kindness as a 22-year-old nobody as he did after all my success."
