Pressure? What Pressure? The reliable kicking of Josh Brown saved the Seattle Seahawks from a defeat that may have been more embarrassing than the one 2 years ago when they blew a three touchdown lead against these Rams.
The Seahawks, two weeks removed from a humiliating defeat at the hands of the Chicago Bears started out looking very sluggish against the high powered offense of St Louis. You had to wonder if this season was going down the tubes. The 'Hawks went to the locker room at halftime trailing 21-7.
Apparently Coach Holmgren read our Birds the "riot act" and the Seahawks came back in roaring fassion with the offensive fireworks of Matt Hasselbeck. Missing Bobby Engram, Saun Alexander, and perhaps more importantly, the 12th Man. Hasselbeck was able to rely on Daryl Jackson and Deion Branch and was able to take the lead. Suddenly the defense woke up from the dead and was able to contain the Rams. It looked like the deal was sealed when the 'Hawks marched into the red zone with a one point lead with less that 2 minutes remaining. Rather than just run out the clock though Seattle tried to get more points and wound up fumling the ball. Leonard Little recovered and Marc Bulger and company were back in business. The always dangerous Bulger hit Tory Holt for a touchdown pass and it looked like he would be the hero. The Seahawks crawled into field goal range and with time ticking off the clock, Brown hit the 54 yard field goal and the light of hope for the Seahawks this season was still burning. The final score was Seahawks 30 Rams 28.

This was a huge game; in fact the St Paul paper gave it page one Sunday as the oneto watch. Good for the Hawkies.
I have found out unofficially that Mike did indeed scream at the team at halftime. They sure deserved it!
