The Seattle Times is sponsering a debate between 8th District Republican Congressman Dave Reichert and his Democratic Challenger Darcy Burner (above). It will take place this Tuesday October 10th at the Meydenbauer Center in downtown Bellevue. The public is invited as door open at 6:30pm, the debate starts at 7:00. Reichert claims to represent his district, but a recent secret visit by political hatchetman Karl Rove and a lunch with Republican fatcats in Medina with George W Bush last August call that into question. It is understandable though if you could see Burner's ability to raise money from men and women throughout the district who are eager for a change.

Visiting with Karl Rove and raising money within the party hardly indicates that a Congressman does not represent their district.
