Great interview Mike. I think Richard Sherman has his heart in the right place and he is a great humanitarian. I wish he still played for Seahawks.
WOW that was an awesome interview. Richard Sherman I have always loved watching you play football & I loved meeting your sweet mom when we were involved in a organization together. I knew she was an angel right away, so I knew you were a good man too. I was swept up in the Maple Valley Food Bank challenge & was totally amazed to see the heartfelt love that was shown by everyone I encountered at the Maple Valle Grocery Outlet collection site. We had rich people, poor people, old people (I am 71 yrs young myself) and young kids bringing their donations with pride as they handed them over. My heart melted with each new donation. I just listened to this broadcast and now my eyes won't stop watering. You, Richard, are my new mentor. Thank you for your heartfelt donations & even more importantly thank you for being such a good role model to all of us, but especially to the youth - they are our hope for the future & they look up to you. They listen to what you are saying. Thank you for your message about the homeless - each homeless person has a story & now many are being blamed for crimes they have no part in committing. My father was homeless in Seattle, sleeping on benches in Pioneer Square so I too know from personal experience what homelessness means. He was retired & I was a single mom who could no longer help him and also support my children on my own, so I chose tough love & kicked him out after returning home from work one night finding bottles of booze on my dining room table. It was the last straw & I cried when I told him to leave, however I had to choose and I chose my children over an alcoholic father. I have forgiven him and he is in heaven now. I too give to the homeless & I don't want anyone to live without a roof over their heads, however I want others to know the criminals are not what they seem - they are not the homeless although many of the homeless have been led astray. I am sure the powerful people in our community are working to identify & remove the criminals preying on rich and poor alike. I nominate you Richard Sherman and all your wonderful family as MVP'S of Maple Valley. Thank you for all you do for everyone, everywhere. Bless you Richard. I am officially adopting you as one of my grandchildren. (It is what I do & it is a pretend adoption.) With lots love, Gramma Sheryl
