In what looked like another hopeless Saturday afternoon, the Washington State Cougars overcame a 17 point deficit to beat the SMU Mustangs in overtime 30-27 in Pullman today. It was the second major college upset in the state. Earlier, Washington shocked USC 16-13. Both games were won by field goals.

In what looked like another hopeless Saturday afternoon, the Washington State Cougars overcame a 17 point deficit to beat the SMU Mustangs in overtime 30-27 in Pullman today.
