Sly Stone who led the influential and innovative Sly and The Family Stone has died. The band, who arose out of the rebellious 1960s, made fans dance with songs like "Dance to the Music", "I Want To Take You Higher" and "Stand".
Stone was inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame in 1993.
Sly Stone, whose birth name was Sylvester Stewart, was 82.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has a lot of politics in it on who gets inducted and who does not and how many tries they need to have to finally get in.
That may be true, but Sly deserved it with his body of work.
