It was trending on Twitter when I found out. Former Sports Radio KJR host and longtime Portland Trail Blazer voice, Brian Wheeler has died, he was 62.
Wheeler had been an interview subject many times on Mitch Levy's Mitch Unfiltered podcast. I believe he also filled in as cohost one or more times.
Wheeler replaced veteran Bill Shonely in 1998. He left the position in 2019.
Wheeler reportedly had dealt with many health challenges.
