WSU will extend the contract of
Cougar Football Coach Mike Leach by 5 years. Leach's salary will increase up to 4 million and the salary pool will increase for the Cougar assistant coaches by 400,000 dollars. After a very successful season, Leach had been rumored to be a prime consideration for other positions including the University Of Tennessee.
