Robinson Cano hit two home runs, one a grand slam and Andrew Moore
pitched brilliantly in his Major League debut as the Seattle Mariners defeated the Detroit Tigers 9-6. It was Seattle's first sweep of the Tigers in a four game series since 1998. The Mariners are now above .500 for the first time this season. The team starts a weekend home series against the division leading Houston Astros tonight.
