Seaside, Oregon was where our family spent many great vacations. Recently my wife and our friends would all come down for a weekend and hang around. Deb and I still try to visit every summer. There sure are a lot of great memories there.

Cool! Do they still have the boardwalk arcade with all the cheesy carney games? Or the aquarium, where the seals would bark at the passersby?

I think the last time I was there was 1980.

They replaced most of the carnival games with a shopping mall, the theatre was closed for a multiplex on the main highway. You can still play "Fascination" and the pinball arcade is now a video arcade. There is a high rise Trend West Condo complex at the turnaround as well as a statue of Lewis and Clark at the actual turnaround. The apartment house where we stayed is still there and I am still staggered by the memories that I get walking down the prom. The aquarium is still there and you can still feed the seals. Great deal for kids.
Cannon Beach really has not changed at all and is as charming as ever.
