Last year, I decided to step away from full involvement in politics. I spent several terms representing Washington's
5th legislative district on the state Democratic central committee. My friends at the 5th LD presented me with a plaque in honor of my service. Although I loved the work that I did, it was great to leave on my own terms. I plan to go to the monthly meeting and help on various projects.
