Another star from my childhood is gone. Dave Parker, a slugger for the Pittsburgh Pirates and later Oakland A's has died. His nickname was The Cobra.
He was set for induction into the Baseball Hall Of Fame next month.
I remember that he had the same name as one of my classmates.
Parker had suffered from Parkinson's disease. He was 74.
