T-Jack Is Back!

Sources are reporting that Tavaris Jackson will sign with the Seattle Seahawks for the 2013 season.  Jackson was the 'Hawks starting quarterback in 2011, but found himself odd man out for the next season as Seattle acquired Matt Flynn, thought at the time to be the new franchise quarterback.  Jackson was released and was acquired by Buffalo.  Russell Wilson, of course, won the Seattle job and is expected to continue at the position.  Jackson is expected to compete with Brady Quinn for the back up QB position, of course, with the Seahawks, you never know!

Matt Flynn Traded To Raiders

It was an April Fool's deal, but it will be next season before we see if either team winds up looking like a fool.  The Seattle Seahawks have traded Quarterback Matt Flynn, once seen as their probable started in 2012 to the Oakland Raiders for some draft picks in the next couple years.  Flynn was acquired by the 'Hawks in 2012 from the Green Bay Packers as the team was looking to find a better signal caller than Tavares Jackson.  Coach Pete Carroll, however, turned to rookie Russell Wilson and never looked back. In making the deal, the Raiders released Carson Palmer.

Seahawks Sign Quarterback Matt Flynn

It seems familiar, a back up Green Bay quarterback is coming to town to lead the Seahawks. In 2001, Mike Holmgren brought a then unknown understudy to Bret Favre named Matt Hasselbeck to towns.  Now it has been reported that Packer Aaron Rogers' back up Matt Flynn has just been signed to be the Seahawks new starting quarterback.  Flynn was a seventh round draft pick in 2008 from LSU.
