pugetsound.media sent me the aircheck of Jonathan Walker, the midday man at KALE, the top 40 station for the Tri-Cities in the mid 70s. Even though it's been 40 years, it sounds so fresh.
KALE was popular in Walla Walla because at the time, there was no music on the radio stations that school age people could listen, except at night. The station was owned be SRO, which also owned KZOK in Seattle as well as theatres and bowling alleys throughout the Northwest.
