Father Time Finally Catches Dick Clark

He was the eternal teenager, the man who belonged to every generation except for his own. The man who made adolescence the coolest part of the lifecycle. The man who brought us rock and roll and dance, the image of the fast car, the Prom date.
Dick Clark hosted his news years eve special the other night and it was painful. The smooth as silk voice, the quick wit are gone. Dick Clark is still with us, but it is a Dick Clark that looks every bit as old as his 76 years. When Dick Clark ages, we all age with him. Posted by Picasa

Well put testimonial to Dick Clark who started his career in 50s at WFIL, ABC station in Philadelphia. I first saw him as a student in 50s at UW. Not nice to say bad things about legends but Dick was involved in payola and did some commercials with Ed Macmahon for Publisher's Clearing House Sweepstakes, whnich I thought was a scam. Guess he had rent to pay.
