Pop Music Writer And Performer Neil Sedaka

 

Neil Sedaka, a prolific songwriter and singer in the early 1960s, who is now better known for songs in his comeback in the mid-1970s has died. His 87th birthday was only weeks away.

Sedaka, a native of Brooklyn was famous for songs like "Breaking Up Is Hard To Do", Calendar Girl" and "Happy Birthday Sweet 16".

His later work would include "Bad Blood" which he sang with Elton John and "Laughter In The Rain". 

He also wrote the Captain And Tenille classic "Lov e Will Keep Us Together.
