Gene Wilder, one of America's most beloved comedy actors, has died at 83. Wilder was known for his roles in Mel Brooks films Blazing Saddles and Young Frankenstein. He also played the lead roll in Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (above). He also played in the Mel Brooks film "The Producers" and much more.
Wilder was married to Saturday Night Live comedienne Gilda Radner, whose battle with ovarian Cancer endeared her to the public, from 1982 until her death in 1989. Wilder whose real name was Jerome Silberman was born in Milwaukee. He had been suffering from Alzheimer's.
