Distinguished Jazz Singer Ernestine Anderson died in a Shoreline nursing home at 87. Anderson was a
4 time Grammy nominee and her career spanned 6 decades. She performed at the
first Monterey Jazz Festival and at the Kennedy Center. She was friends was music producer
Quincy Jones, another Seattle native.
