Tornado Hits Monroe

A weak tornado, which means terrifically strong winds, hit the city of Monroe, about 46 miles from Maple Valley, yesterday.  No injuries were reported but some trailers were turned over at the Speedway RV Center in mid morning.  The funnel also damaged some houses that were near the RV center.

The Evergreen State Fair In Monroe

We went to the Evergreen State Fair in Monroe, where we at fair food, watched crazy bus races at the speedway and took in the carnival.  A great time was had by  all.

Saturday Night Figure 8 Races In Monroe

We went to the Evergreen State Fair to watch the figure 8 races. The races are exciting because the shape of the track forces cars to intersect in front of others causing collisions and breathtaking near collisions.
