A move to recall the recently elected Seattle mayor will not go forward. Recall is a way to subject an elected office holder to another election, before his or her term has expired.
In Washington, a recall petition needs to be approved by the courts in order to go forward. Many in Seattle are opposed to Mayor Katie Wilson's approach to governing.
