A memory of my senior year of high school. Not necessarily, a high school thing, but that was the year the movie was released.
Tommy, one of the first, if not the first Rock opera's had already played on stage, by the Who. A movie version with Ann-Margaret, Oliver Reed, Elton John, Eric Clapton, Tina Turner, Jack Nicholson, and Who members Roger Daltry and Keith Moon got mixed reviews from fans of the band.
Jack Nicholson had this memorable singing solo in the production.

Great post Mike. He is the king of the anti-hero. His incredible ability to play rebels, rogues, and complex characters who challenge the status quo is unmatched. He broke the traditional leading-man mold in a way no one else could. He has unmatched screen presence. He had a knack for letting the audience feel like he was keeping a thrilling, tantalizing secret that the rest of the characters in the movie didn't know. "He made going over the edge seem real." Point out how he could portray insanity, rage, or pure chaos with an incredibly grounded, intense realism. The most nominated male actor in Oscar history.
