Bear Attends Service

The sanctuary of Temple De Hirsch Sinai in Bellevue backs up to a forested area with windows from floor to ceiling. 

This bear showed herself during Friday Night Services. 

There had been word of a cub found in the bushes. 

I had attended that service, but got this picture off the video of what was the live feed.

The rabbi, shown here, kept his cool, and assured the congregation that the proper authorities had it under control.  When one of the speakers speculated what type of bear it was, the rabbi quipped "it's a bear mitzvah."
