The UPS Store 1477 In Downtown Bellevue Is Open

The UPS Store  in Downtown Bellevue is open and ready for business at it's new location, 1100 NE Bellevue Way, 8A in Bellevue, 98004.   

The location had moved from it's previous location a block south of Bellevue Square last week.  For hours and services, please check here. 

New Location For The UPS Store On Bellevue Way

The UPS Store 4177 at 227 Bellevue Way NE is moving to a new location.  In a couple of days, it will have been relocated to 1100 Bellevue Way NE #8A.  This weekend, we moved items to the new location. (above)

Mercer Isand UPS Store Saves Senior From Scam

You've heard about phone scammers who call senior citizens and convince them of troubled grandchildren, bilking them of life savings. It's shameful and very real. KIRO 7 TV reports a smart associate at the Mercer Island UPS Store who acted and saved a senior from falling victim. Stories like this make me proud to be associated with a company that goes above and beyond!  The UPS Store in Mercer Island is located at 7683 SE 27th St.   I'm at the store in Crossroads, of course.

Edgar Martinez Speaks At Ricoh Seminar

Ricoh Copiers held a seminar for people from The UPS Store and other perspective customers.  The event was held at Safeco Field where the Mariners play.  Edgar Martinez (top picture with Deb and myself) was the guest of honor. Edgar opened himself up to questions from the audience.
We also took a tour of Safeco, the middle picture was taken from the press box which our guide said was the largest one in the country.  the bottom picture was taken in the Mariner Dugout.

Another TV Appearance

Deb and I will be on New Day Northwest on KING 5 TV tomorrow (Monday March 3rd).  The show will air at 11am PST.  Once again, we will talk about how you can do more than ship at your local The UPS Store. If you can not catch it, we will try to post the video here.

Barers Of Maple Valley Dispense Shipping Wisdom

For the third time this year and 4th time overall, we were on KING5's New Day Northwest with Margaret Larson. This time we spoke about holiday shipping.. A big Thank You to Margaret, Producer Su Ring and Intern Marty, for helping our presentation run smoothly.

Barers Do Encore Performance On New Day Northwest

For the second week in a row, we were on New Day Northwest, representing The UPS Store at Crossroads. This time, the subject was mailbox rentals, shredding and printing. The segment went real well. The highlight of  the morning was the opening segment with Seattle Storm star Sue Bird, who is out of action this year due knee surgery.

Barers Of Maple Valley On TV Again

Deb and I will be on New Day Northwest, this Monday, June 17th for the second time.  Once again we will talk to Seattle about The UPS Store.  New  Day Northwest is hosted by Margaret Larson and can be seen weekdays at 11:00 on KING 5 in Seattle. Deb last appeared on New Day last year just before Christmas.  I was seen in the audience.  This will be the first time that I have appeared as a guest.

Volunteering At The Sounders Game

Last weekend volunteers from The UPS Store locations around the area teamed up with the US Marine Corp and the Seattle Sounders to collect for the Toys For Tots Book drive.  Deb and I along with Deb's sister and our nephew, Connor joined in at Century Link Field before the Sounders took on the Vancouver Whitecaps..  Above, you can see me waving a sign along with our Marine helper. We then went in and watched the game. The Sounders beat the Whitecaps 3-2.

The UPS Store Featured on TV

My wife Debra and Karl Kilpatrick, who owns a UPS Store in Puyallup demonstrate packing techniques of The UPS Store on KING 5's New Day Northwest with Margaret Larson. I can be seen in the audience. Deb and I brought a wide array of packing boxes from the store to the studio for the demonstration.  We were at the studio for about an hour before to set up.  While waiting in the Green Room, we met some of the other guests including a group from Northwest Harvest, the president of Bartell Drugs, and a personal trainer.

Debra Back On TV

My wife Debra will be back on TV again tomorrow (Wednesday, November 28th) on KING 5 TV to talk about packing and shipping options for the holidays at The UPS Stores in the Seattle area.  She will be on at 11 am on Channel 5 on the show New Day Northwest.  Margaret Larson will be the host.  Unlike a year and a half when she was on she was interviewed at the store by Penny Legate on Better Northwest, she will be live in the studio.

The UPS Store In Crossroads Will Have New Look

It started this week, The UPS Store in Bellevue's Crossroads neighborhood is undergoing an extensive remodel.  You never seem to to realize how organized things are until they get disorganized.  The store is planning to stay open during all or most of the remodel although customers may have to put up with the noise of hammers and drills as well as a little, oh let's say a lot of sawdust.
The remodel will last for two weeks and I know customers will be pleased with the end result.

The UPS Store In Crossroads

If you haven't seen me here often, it's because this year's holiday season at The UPS Store in Crossroads, Bellevue, has been a total success.  Some of the cool things that we have packed and shipped, a King Crab from the TV show "The Deadliest Catch". Also shipped was an autographed ball by Yankee pitcher Don Larson and catcher Yogi Berra from the only perfect game pitched in World Series history.

My Wife On KIRO TV's Better Northwest

Deb tells an excited Penny LeGate about the contest that we are running at The UPS Store in Bellevue's Crossroads area. The contest continues through early August.  This segment aired on July 7th on the KIRO-TV morning show "Better Northwest"

The Crossroads Chessboard

The gigantic Chess board is a popular attraction at the Crossroads Mall in Bellevue. The indoor Mall is the main component to the shopping center in which The UPS Store in Crossroads is located.

2nd Graders Visit Crossroads UPS Store

Yesterday was exciting because the Cherry Crest Elementry School 2nd graders came to visit the Crossroads UPS Store. This is the third year they have shown up, always in late May. Deb always has games for the children to play and they enjoy playing with Rusty.
