For the third time, the Seattle Mariners have hired a manager who had never before held that position. Jason Kanzler.
Kanzler, 36 is a former high school science teacher. He has served as Chicago Cubs director of player development since 2024.
Long suffering Mariner fans have largely greeted the move with skepticism.
