One of my favorite TV actresses, Susan Saint James has passed away. Saint James, co-starred with Rock Hudson in the mystery show on NBC, McMillan & Wife. My mom and I would watch the show together on Sunday nights during its run.
Saint James would later star with Jane Curtin in the sitcom Kate And Allie.
We once into Saint James during a visit to LA with my parents and brothers sometime, either in the late 70s or early 80s. We were driving and came across a barricade. A TV movie was being shot with Loretta Swit and Saint James. I saw the director's chairs with Saint James and Swit's names on the backs. I spotted Susan and said to my brothers, "do you remember McMillan And Wife?" Susan overheard and said "yes, I remember McMillan And Wife!"
Sources say Saint James died of pancreatic cancer.
