Pullman Radio Station Celebrates 50 Years Of Family Ownership

Congrats to KQQQ radio, in Pullman, as they mark 50 years with Bill and Susan Weed owning the station.    I worked for Bill and Sue back from 1979 to 1980 while I was going to school at WSU.

The AM was known as KNOI, meaning K-number one.  They were automated country.  KQQQ was the FM and they had straight rock and roll.

As I understand now, the station is news talk on the AM, now also known as KQQQ and holiday hits (Christmas music) and new country on the FM, now known as KHTR.

The station was known as KPUL with the Weeds purchased it in 1974.
