Wilbur Leaving Democratic National Committee

Lona Wilbur has announced that she will not run for a third term as one of Washington's representatives to the DNC.  Wilbur, known for her warm smile and heartfelt speeches, was one of 4 members of the Washington delegation.  The representatives are chosen by the Washington State Democratic Central Committee, of which I am a member.  Wilbur is a member of the Swinomish Tribe and is completing her 8th year on the committee.  Among the duties of the DNC is picking the DNC chair, who is pretty much the face of the Democratic Party.

Lona Wilbur is an important Superdelegate. She and other non-elected Super Dems are our voice in this election. Please ask Lona to vote her conscience regardless of what pressures the DNC and political cronies in D.C. I, for one, am certain that she knows all this already. I stand with Lona.

“It’s important to be able to be inclusive of all of the voices of all of Washington state,” Lona is a woman of conscience. The DNC no longer represents the electorate, they are throwing money (our money), time and effort into promoting only one candidate. It's time to tell them that our eyes are open and a change is coming. Bernie or bust.
