US Swimmer Mark Spitz won 7 gold medals in swimming events in the 1972 Olympics. His birthday is today (February 10th). Spitz, who is Jewish, would leave the Olympic Village early after the "Munich Massacre" the kidnapping and murder of 11 Israeli athletes.
