New Year's Day of 2015 got off to a sad start with word of the passing of Mario Cuomo. Cuomo, who delivered a stirring speech at the 1984 Democratic Convention, was a three term governor of New York and a consistent mention for a presidential run. His son, Andrew, is beginning his second term as New York governor.
