This weekend I was saddened to learn that WSU proffessor Val Limburg had passed away. Val was my advisor at WSU as well as the faculty advisor to KUGR, the radio station on campus. He was also my Com 101 instructor. It was through his class that I obtained a real knowledge of the industry and it's history.
The sad irony is that he probably did not get a chance to see the Edward R Murrow biographical movie that opened this week. Murrow was a graduate of WSU and the Communications department there is named after him.
my heart is really saddened to hear such news...i read one of his book "electronic media ethics", and i honestly thought its real excellent and profound...im a student from the university of santo tomas, and, i was like wondering where i could like contact Mr. limburg to actually have that sort of a permission to actually administer that self quiz found at the end part of the book mentioned...googled it and found this blog of yours and so...yeah...that sure is tough and...real real saddening...im quite sure it sure devastated alot of hearts (esp. for those people who actually know him personnaly).
ReplyDeleteIn regards to your comment, You should contact the Communications Department at Washington State University. I'm sure that they can put you in contact with the right people. Thank you for reading the blog, I too was saddened by Mr. Limburg's passing.
